7. If playing sports in college make sure you are NCAA eligible
8. If you are planning on deferring - make sure you complete all the deferment paperwork

- Have official transcripts sent from all previous schools. Request a CCHS transcript
- Be sure ACT scores have been sent
- Pay application fee
- Participate in College Application Week - October 26-30
- Stay on top of DEADLINES
5, Apply for financial aid
- Fill out the FAFSA beginning October 1, 2020
- You will be using your 2019 taxes - so you will be eligible for the IRS data retrieval tool
- Fill out the FAFSA asap - funds are awarded on a "first come, first served basis."
- Attend the Virtual CCHS Financial Aid Night - October 28, 5:30 PM
6. Start looking for additional scholarships

- The amount of scholarship money you receive is proportional to the time you put in searching and applying

- If doing the Regents' Scholarship make sure you complete the first application in December
